Cookie policy
Short version: no tracking or advertising cookies. Here are the few technical cookies that may be set, and why.
Last updated:
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for a site to work; others are used for analytics or advertising. Similar technologies, like local storage, work in the same way.
2. Cookies on this website
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies are technical ones set by WordPress in specific situations:
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
comment_author_* | WordPress | Remembers your name and email if you choose to when posting a comment. | 1 year |
wordpress_test_cookie | WordPress | Checks that your browser accepts cookies when logging in (staff only). | Session |
wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-settings-* | WordPress | Keeps site administrators signed in and remembers their dashboard settings. | Session to 1 year |
Ordinary visitors who don’t comment or log in normally receive no cookies at all.
3. Third-party services
When you tap a WhatsApp button, you leave our website and WhatsApp’s own cookie and privacy policies apply. Links to app stores work the same way.
Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Google Fonts does not set cookies, but your browser sends your IP address to Google to download the font files.
4. If this changes
If we add analytics or any non-essential cookies in future, we will update this page and ask for your consent before setting them, where the law requires it.
5. How to control cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the technical WordPress cookies only affects commenting and staff log-in; the rest of the site works normally.
6. Questions
Email [email protected] with any question about cookies or privacy.
