DMCA and copyright policy
How rights holders can report content to us, and how we handle notices and counter-notices.
Last updated:
1. Our commitment
Epix IPTV respects the rights of content owners and expects its customers to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material concerned.
2. How to send a notice
Please send your notice in writing to [email protected] with the subject line “Copyright notice”. To be valid, it should include:
- a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for them;
- identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
- identification of the material you believe is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (for example the channel name, title and time);
- your name, address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
3. What we do with a notice
- We acknowledge receipt, normally within a few working days.
- We review the notice and, if it is complete and valid, act promptly to remove or disable access to the material.
- Where relevant, we inform the affected customer and explain how to send a counter-notice.
4. Counter-notices
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to [email protected] containing:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.
5. Repeat infringement
Accounts of customers who repeatedly infringe copyright, for example by redistributing content, may be suspended or closed.
6. False notices
Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may make the sender liable for damages. Please make sure your notice is accurate.
7. Rights holders outside the United States
Rights holders anywhere in the world can use the same address. We apply an equivalent notice-and-action process to complaints made under other national laws, such as those of the European Union.
