Buyer’s guide
How to compare IPTV services
Comparing IPTV providers is harder than it should be. Many sites look alike, use similar names and quote huge numbers. This guide gives you a fair way to compare any service, including ours, before you pay.
Criteria
What actually matters, in order
From the questions we answer every day, these are the factors that decide whether people are still happy six months later.
| Criterion | Why it matters | How to check it |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Works on your device | A great service is useless if the app won’t run on your TV. | Ask the provider to confirm your exact model before paying. |
| 2. Your channels are there | Totals don’t matter; your five daily channels do. | Send a list and ask for a specific yes or no. |
| 3. Stability at peak times | Evenings and big matches are when weak services fail. | Test during a trial between 8 and 10 p.m. |
| 4. Real support | Setup questions are inevitable; you need a person who replies. | Message before buying and see how they answer. |
| 5. Written refund terms | Badges are not policies. | Look for a refund page with clear conditions. |
| 6. Clear identity | You should know who you are paying. | Check for a legal notice, an email and consistent contact details. |
| 7. Price per month | Only compare once the six points above are met. | Divide the plan price by its months. |
Warning signs
Red flags to watch for
Any one of these is a reason to slow down and ask more questions. Several together usually mean walking away.
- Numbers that change from page to page, like 18,000 channels in one place and 40,000 in another.
- “Zero buffering, guaranteed” on any connection. No internet service can promise that.
- Countdown timers and “only 3 left” on a digital subscription.
- Logos of famous channels and leagues everywhere, with no explanation of rights.
- No refund page, or a “money-back” badge with no conditions.
- Requests for card details in a chat, or payment by gift card.
- Instructions to install apps from unknown websites instead of official app stores.
Reality check
Common claims, decoded
What popular IPTV marketing phrases usually mean in practice.
| The claim | What it usually means | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| “40,000+ channels” | Includes duplicates, regional copies and backup feeds. | “Do you have these specific channels?” |
| “4K on everything” | 4K is only possible where the source offers it. | “Which channels are actually 4K?” |
| “99.9% uptime” | Rarely measured or published. | “How is that measured, and over what period?” |
| “Official app” | Often a generic player with a logo. | “Is it in an official app store?” |
| “Lifetime plan” | Lasts as long as the seller does. | “What happens if you close?” |

- Price per month: from €5.42 on the 12-month plan; see pricing.
Comparison questions
Is Epix IPTV worth it?
It is if your device is compatible, your must-have channels are available and you value having a real person for setup help. The best way to know is to check your device and channels, then test with a free trial.
Why are there several websites called “Epix IPTV”?
Various unrelated sellers use similar names. Our official contacts are listed on every page of this site. Epix IPTV is also not connected to MGM+, formerly the EPIX channel.
Is the cheapest IPTV service the best value?
Rarely. A low price is only good value if the service works on your device at peak times and someone helps when it doesn’t. Compare price last, after the other checks.
Should I trust online IPTV reviews?
Be careful. Some review sites are paid listings. Look for specific, recent details, and test the service yourself whenever you can.
